The Perfect Host: A Southern Gothic Tale (2016)

She won an Oscar for the screenplay to 2003’s Lost in Translation and was nominated for best director as well – one of only four women ever nominated for the Academy Award for director. Her new picture, The Beguiled, will have its world premiere next month as part of the main competition at the Cannes Film Festival.
