RUSH Time Machine 2011: Live in Cleveland (2011)

Сюжет кино: Rush's 2011 Cleveland show was a homecoming of sorts. 37 years after being found by Donna Halper, Rush returned to Cleveland to film their first complete live show solely in the US. Emotions ran high and the performance is nearly perfect. Highlights are Presto, Leave That Thing Alone, Faithless, a complete play of Moving Pictures (including the Camera Eye for the first time since the early 80's), Caravan, Closer 2 The Heart, 2112 and the encores La Villa Strangiato/Working Man. Neil plays one of his finest overall performances and Alex and Geddy shred through the instrumentals in a masterful manner. The only minor critique is Geddy was a bit under the weather during the recording but the show went on nonetheless. At times his vocals sound a bit strained, surely due to the 3rd show in 4 nights + the overall stress of the tour + his illness. But that does not take away from a great recording of a classic Rush concert at all. I give it a which would have been a 10 but for the voice strain.
Get this CD, even if you have the other 8 live releases (same as myself).
