Сюжет кино: In amongst all the other grim news and electoral chaos, some joy at a significant achievement: Dr Eilidh Whiteford MP 's Private Members Bill on the Istanbul Convention achieved Royal Assent today. This is a significant achievement, particularly as Eilidh is the first SNP MP to get a Bill through both Houses of Parliament and on to the statute books.
The campaigners at IC Change UK, women's organisations across the UK and in Scotland - like the fab Scottish Women's Aid - have put in amazing work to see this through. Credit also to Nathan Sparling in Eilidh's office, who put in an incredible shift behind the scenes.
As you can tell from Marsha's video, this means a lot.
