The Visitor from Planet Omicron (2013)

Сюжет кино: Things to keep in mind while watching this movie: It's extremely LOW BUDGET. It's not going to have great acting and special effects, PERIOD.
With that being said, I really like this movie! It's actually a sweet movie that makes no sense, so it makes you feel like an imaginative child again.
A hot young alien befriends a gardener in her mid 60's afraid to leave her home. It's silly, funny, zany, and corny, but it's good clean fun that you don't often see in low budget films.
There is a deep commentary in the plot about corporate greed and its possible destructive potential to our natural resources such as vegetation, that is both cleaver and non-preachy.
I was really surprised that I enjoyed this movie as much as I did after reading all of the negative comments about it. I hope that our culture is not overly spoiled by the formula of big budget films that we can't find value in movies that have something different to offer. I gave it a full 5 stars, not because it was a perfect movie, but because my cheeks are still hurting from smiling as much as I did during the film up until the very end. That hardly ever happens these days!
