Queen of the Bees (2014)

Сюжет кино: This documentary chronicles the mysterious disappearance of bees around the world via a phenomenon called Colony Collapse Disorder. Director Taggart Siegel, (The Real Dirt on Farmer John), was inspired by a quote attributed to Einstein: "If bees die out, man will only have four years of life left on earth." His film juxtaposes perspective from inside the magical world of the beehive, with beekeepers, scientists and philosophers from around the world. Featuring Michael Pollan, Gunther Hauk and Vandana Shiva, alternative solutions are explored with the heartfelt wish to sustain a world in which we treasure and coexist with these important creatures. Queen of the Sun: What Are the Bees Telling Us? was the winner of the Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary Feature at the 2010 Red Rock Film Festival.
