Some of My Best Friends Are (1971)

Сюжет кино: After 5 minutes I realized I needed to read the comments for perspective, though I knew it would be dated. Lots of young cameos and a brave movie for the early period it represents, but I just couldn't make it past the half way point. Had it not been 3 am I might have done better. It does give one some great perspective of what is possible now, though not perfect. It was the hard work and brave attempts to try and create understanding, or at least discussion in accessible forums that were the building blocks of some rights that younger people are able to take for granted. Just the same, understanding the hardships hopefully will help deter discrimination in all it's forms for all human beings. This was a great "start" for a decades old movement that didn't always know what the most effective strategy would be.
