Portrait of an Escort (ТВ) (1980)

Since this was 1980, it was still relatively new to address the escort business(until we saw Candice Bergen, as the "Mayflower Madam").
Susan Anspach is believable, as a single mother trying to live on her own, trying to get work as an actor, finding many men with aspirations, but no financial security (as played by Tony Bill). While the premise is not original, the story of finding work as an actor in Los Angeles; the players are sympathetic, and some scenes of in the early 80's are interesting- It must have been nice to see Hollywood Boulevard while it was well-maintained, and cleaner.
Other films along the same story line would be "Death Ride to Osaka" with a very young Jennifer Jason Leigh as a nubile actress, also getting in a difficult situation. Recommended for anyone interested in the business. 7/10
